Daniel (DJ) with Gael Monfils at Key Biscayne in Florida

One of A’s & Aces’ top student-athletes, Daniel Porea, and Coach AJ Varnado headed to Miami, Florida, for the elite Orange Bowl training and tournament.  Prior to competing in the International Orange Bowl Tournament hosted in Key Biscayne, top players from the 12 USTA NJTL Excellence Teams practiced together to prepare for the tough competition.  This workout is part of the USTA Player Development Program and thus players spend time in mental toughness sessions and various life skills exercise to
be the best they can both on and off the court.  Though DJ lost in the qualifying round, he learned important lessons to become the best he can on a fun journey to success!
